Simple Knit Bandana

Simple Knit Handkerchief

This handkerchief is ideal for beginner knitters who just want something different to knit. The pattern provided is made for a solid color handkerchief, but the one in the picture has a pink stripe because I did not have enough yarn to finish it in purple. This can be done, if desired, by changing yarn while knitting your project. Enjoy!

1 skein of yarn (i used wool
- Size #8 knitting needle
- Crochet hook or darning needle
- Scissors

Cast on 60 st., leave a tail 12 in. long.
Row 1: k1, k2tog, k until last 3 st., k2tog, k1
Row 2: knit
Repeat these two rows until there are 4 st. on needle.
Next Row: knit
Next Row: k2tog (2x)
Next Row: k2tog
Cast off.

Weave in all ends except tail. Cut a piece of yarn 12 1/2 in. long and triple knot it to the other point. Put on your head and enjoy!
